MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the life of adults with special needs as they make a difference in yours.*MTILP, Inc.in Madison is seeking 2 Skills Trainers to work with adults with cognitive and physical disabilities at our facility based program. Work in a fun and supportive setting, and make a difference in the lives of adults with disabilities. Support clients in a variety of individual and group activities, including community outings. Provide some personal cares including assistance with using the bathroom and feeding. Physical requirements include lifting, bending, squatting, wheelchair transfers, and maneuvering wheelchairs. M-F, Between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm, 37.5 hrs and 35 hrs per week. No nights or weekends.Great Benefits.Experience working with adults with disabilities desired. EOE/AA

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant humans services field or equivalent experience.
  • One or more years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Self-motivation and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with clients and co-workers.
  • Ability to assess the needs and strengths of individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work within a team atmosphere in order to communicate to all team members the needs of clients.
  • Ability to function independently in a day center setting in order to effectively administer programming to clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $13.00 /hour
